Welcome to Crazy!

Yes, we had about 5 inches of snow yesterday in OCTOBER! Most of it has melted know, thank goodness. I'm so not ready for that yet.

My Kindergartener is done with the first 9 week grading period- where does the time go!?

Last week was crazy: two conferences running simultaneously that I had a big part in, an awesome Thirty-One party, camp reunion (with alternate activities, thanks to the snow...), a birthday party, a baby shower, a luncheon a church. All I wanted today was a nap, but no one else was up for it, other than Bristol with a 15 minute cat nap. Everyone needed a nap and we had a lot of crying, whining and squabbling and everyone went to bed early.

Bristol made me laugh until I cried today! I put her binky (pacifier) in my mouth and spit it out while she sat on my lap. She thought this was hilarious and laughed each time I did it. :)

Today, in the midst of the noise and chaos Kenny looked at me, smiled and said "Welcome to CRAZY!" Yep, that's pretty much how it went today.

Then I rocked my baby girl to sleep, read Curious George to my sleepy big kids and tucked everyone into bed. In the midst of crazy, there is a lot of love!

Thoughts About God

From my favorite three year-old this week:

*I was telling her a story about when Brayden was a baby and she asked where she was when Brayden was a baby. I told her "You weren't in my tummy yet, you were still with God." She replies "Oh yes, that's when I was with God!"

*She asked me yesterday "Does God wear the same shirt every day?"

*Today she was insistent that Brayden wait on everyone to sit down before we said the blessing. I love to hear their sweet little voices saying "God is great, God is good, and we thank him for our food. By his hands we are fed, we thank him for our daily bread. You may eat!" And if we happen to be having bread at that meal, they pick it up and squeal with delight as we say "daily bread." If we aren't having bread, sometimes they say thank you for their daily spaghetti!

Life at our house

I tried to take a picture the other day and my camera card was full. It holds close to 300 photos...I knew it was time to transfer them to the computer and workon the blog! I love this photo of all the kids and have a similar one of Brayden stading behind Brinley when she was a baby. Bristol loves this jumperoo!
Brayden sleeps on the top bunk and we recently re-discovered the blue tent that goes on the top. Brinley sleeps on the bottom and, of course, wanted a tent of her own. Daddy created one for her.
Brayden was home sick one day and spent a long time working in his "office."
We had a neighborhood yardsale and were able to get rid of several large items that were taking up space, as well as some smaller things. The kids had a lemonade and honey bun stand and did really well. Leila is helping Brinley here while Brayden ran inside to warm up- we should have done hot chocolate!

My child who loves cardboard boxes and tape. I think he may be an engineer or a builder.
Brayden's handwriting has improved so much in the few short weeks that he has been in Kindergarten! He went from not wanting to write his name at all this summer to now writing it from memory and writing lots of words if you tell him the letters. I'm so proud of him!
My long, thick hair was getting to be too much!

Pumpkin Patch

Ever since Brayden was a baby, we have been going to Lohr's Pumpkins & Playland. They started out as neighbors, and are now friends. The kids really enjoying picking their own pumpkins this year! Here's the whole gang: Nana, Grandpa & Uncle Jim

Bristol slept through most of it, including family pictures.

Bristol: 6 & 7 months

I'm behind on the blogging, so here are Bristol's 6 and 7 month photos. All of a sudden, she is sitting up all by herself! She loves meal time and nursing, playing with her brother & sister, and wakes up so happy each morning. She has slept through the night a few times and is pretty consistently waking up just one time around 4:30 am and going back to sleep. Enjoy the latest pictures of this sweet girl!
