Guess What?!

 Guess what?

I started here and took one step to the trash can today!
(The trash can is off camera to the left, not the blue recycling bin way far away- c'mon, it's only my first day walking!)

Mommy was pretty excited!
Then I threw up. Not in the trash can. Oh well!

Sidewalk Prophets: Live Like That

I'm loving this new Sidewalk Prophets song, Live Like That:

Sometimes I think what will people say of me
When I'm only just a memory
When I'm home where my soul belongs

Was I love when no one else would show up
Was I Jesus to the least of us
Was my worship more than just a song

I want to live like that, and give it all I have
So that everything I say and do points to you
If love is who I am, then this is where I'll stand
Recklessly abandoned, never holding back
I want to live like that, I want to live like that

Am I proof that You are who You say you are
That grace can really change a heart
Do I live like your love is true?

People pass and even if they don't know my name
Is there evidence that I've been changed
When they see me, do they see You?

I want to live like that, and give it all I have
So that everything I say and do points to you
If love is who I am, then this is where I'll stand
Recklessly abandoned, never holding back
I want to live like that, I want to live like that

I want to show the world the love You gave for me
I'm longing for the world to know the glory of the King

I want to live like that, and give it all I have
So that everything I say and do points to you
If love is who I am, then this is where I'll stand
Recklessly abandoned, never holding back
I want to live like that, I want to live like that

The Little Joys

We had a busy day today, going straight from school/daycare to church for MOPS and then heading home and going straight to bed. Brayden and Brinley sang all the way to town. They were singing different songs, but it was sweet: Up With People, Country Roads and Blessed Be the Name. We enjoyed having a picnic dinner on the grass outside church and later I let them each have a marshmallow Peep. Brinley proclaimed it "delicioso, Mommy!"

Ahh, the little joys!

Love, Love, Love

I love these three!
Even it if is nearly impossible to have them all look at the camera at the same time!

Food Fun

We've been having fun with our food lately. Brayden got a new Goodbyn lunch box:
We've been eating outside as much as possible with the warm weather
Daddy made pancakes to go with our Lucky Charms. Looks like someone already ate all of the marshmallows!

Forts

What is more fun than building a fort in the living room?
Playing your video games tucked inside your fort!

Warm Weekend Days

We had a great time playing outside almost all weekend, grilling hamburgers and enjoying dinner with friends.

St. Patrick's Day

Bristol was decked out in her green for school on Friday
Brinley and I cooked some green goodies for dinner with friends. We sorted all of the green noodes and green veggie straws out. I am thrilled that my kids like this sort of thing!
 Green jello
Saturday was a fun day spent being lazy, playing outside a lot in shorts, riding bikes, and eating dinner outside with friends.

Night of Praise

Our church hosted a Night of Praise on Sunday with every musical group at church participating. Brinley's group was practicing "Jesus Loves Me"

 Brayden's group sang "Sing It"

Barnyard Moosical

Brayden was a chicken in the short and sweet musical presented by Pre-K, K and 1st grade at his school yesterday. He did a great job singing the songs and was so cute.

The girls enjoyed watching their big brother!

St. Patrick's Day Snack

Brayden's snack day was Tuesday and we came up with a simple St. Patrick's Day snack (thank you, Pinterest!) Cupcake liners for $1.15 at Michael's, filled with Lucky Charms. Easy!

For MOPS, I also added some green jellies

Village Closet Consignment Sale

I'm getting items ready for the Village Closet Consignment Sale, coming up the first week of April. If you haven't been to the sale before, you need to check it out! Tons of baby gear, clothes (infant through adult), housewares and lots of other goodies!

If you're ready to spring clean, consider consigning your own things. You pay a $10 consignor fee and then earn 60% of what sells (or up to 70% if you volunteer to work at the sale). You set the prices for every item and decide if you want it to go for half-price on Saturday or not, and choose if unsold items are donated or if you'll pick them up.

This has been a great way for me to get awesome kids' items and get rid of things we've outgrown or no longer use. I've been selling since their first sale about 3 years ago and love it. If you decide to consign (sell your items), please mention my name as your referral.

Get ready to shop April 5-7 at Stone Spring Elementary School!

Another Tooth- Gone!

Brayden lost his second tooth on Saturday- bottom middle. It's been wobbly for weeks and he's been asking us to pull it, and Daddy got it out on Saturday. He tucked it into a little basket on the top of his dresser for the Tooth Fairy. I went to bed and woke up with a start at 5:55 am to find him sprawled out on my side of the bed while I was wedged over sharing Kenny's pillow. That's when I realized that I didn't think the Tooth Fairy had come yet, and someone was not going to be happy to find a tooth and not four shiny quarters. Let's just say the Tooth Fairy took care of things with minutes to spare before he woke up. :)

Sweet Sunday

Sunday was filled with our favorite things! Church, Brinley had a sleepover at Nana & Grandpa's, we all met for lunch at a restaurant (no cooking! no dishes!), playing at home, enjoying the beautiful weather, Bristol & I took a nap, Kenny grilled hamburgers, and we're getting ready for the week ahead. I love Sunday!

Bristol's first ride in the wagon with her sweet sister holding on to her

 Just hanging out

Crazy hair; eating anything she can get ahold of

Family dinner is my favorite part of the day! Hearing little voices saying the blessing: "God is great, God is good, and we thank Him for our food. By His hands, we are fed, we thank Him for our daily bread,or sometimes "Rub a dub dub, thanks for the grub, yeay God!" (followed by giggles) We each share three things we are thankful for from today, which is usually them listing three items currently on their plate, but we're working on this!

Making My Life Easier

Here are some things I'm loving lately!

1. Target Pharmacy. As if I need another reason to love Target, they made liquid medication soooo easy. Not only are bottles color coded (this one is yellow) for each member of the family, but liquids have a neat cover so you can measure with one hand if necessary. Often necessary in this house lately!

2. The Sippy Pal. Bristol loves to toss things causally over her shoulder while playing or eating. This pink strap clips to the high chair (or stroller, etc) and wraps around a cup. Now, if I can just get a few of them to stop leaking milk when she hangs them upside down or bangs them repeatedly on the high chair...

 3. Pineapple Corer. I love fresh pineapple and got this beauty for Christmas a while back. For about $10, it saves a lot of time and work. It is a workout on your arm as you twist it down the pineapple, but you get a beautiful ring of pineapple when you're done. Easy!

4. Seat belt extender. This is how we roll in Kenny's car- a bit crowded and almost impossible to buckle the middle booster seat. For $21, we got a seat belt extender and it's soooooo much easier! We just ordered another one so that Brayden can reach his buckle more easily, too.
