Super Saturday

Capping off our Mississippi fun was Super Bulldog Weekend Saturday. We went to the Cotton District Arts Festival, Fan Fare, baseball game, Brinley & Mimi went to tennis and softball, football game and the Sugarland concert. The kids were happy to eat peanuts and dog bone cookies and cheer on the Bulldogs!

We drove overnight to get to MS for the first time and made it in record time (with kids) of 12 and a half hours. It wasn't as bad as we were anticipating and we may do it again that way next time. Fun trip, but glad to be home!

Starkville

I posted this picture earlier, but it is my new favorite! The weather was gorgeous, the kids had a great time running around on campus and all piled on Bully's back for a photo on Friday, before the weather turned frigid on Saturday!

A Visit to Pontotoc

We went to visit my dad's mom, Memaw, in Pontotoc while we were in Mississippi.

 Memaw with the youngest of her 5 great-grandchildren. 83 years between them! 

 Aunt Laverne (dad's aunt) also came for a visit. It was great to catch up with family that we don't get to see often enough!

Bulldog Baseball

We were in Starkville for Super Bulldog Weekend and Kenny was in sports heaven- we went to 3 baseball games and the spring football game. Brinley also took in tennis and softball. The Diamond Dawgs swept the series against Tennessee in 33 innings (I think!) and we enjoyed fireworks on Thursday night after the game. Busy weekend!

Love one another

We had a really great discussion tonight at our MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group about postpartum depression. There was a lot of sharing and it evolved to other mom topics like trying to do it all, telling your husband (and other people) when you need help and being specific about your needs, and about how moms need to put ourselves at the front of the line sometimes and not just worry about everything else for everyone else. We don't have to do it all. I'm so thankful for a great group of mom friends who are honest with each other!

Fun at Home

The weekend before our Mississippi trip (more to come), we had a great weekend getting lots of stuff done at home. Brayden & Brinley were good helpers with the mulch.

 Brayden worked really hard on this creation- a bunny house. He was not happy when we said we weren't going to hang on it to, but was pleased to take his picture with it.

 The weather was beautiful and the big kids had a water gun fight with Daddy!
