The Best Back Scratcher

At every family get together, everyone would argue over whose turn it was to sit on the floor in front of Aunt Hortense and let her scratch your back. She passed away this week at age 90. 

My great aunt Hortense with her great great niece, Bristol in May. There were 89 years between them!

On the Move

We love riding bikes in our neighborhood and now Bristol is starting to get into it, too!

I'm loving this outfit, that she picked our herself. Especially the shoes. Not very practical for bike riding, but she looks great while doing it!

I tried to take a quick, sweet picture of my two oldest this weekend. Let's just say they weren't having any of it. Here are the best of the failed attempts:

I think this was the best, but not quite what I was going for. I love these sweet kids, even when they're crazy and don't obey their mama who keeps asking for "just one sweet picture where you're looking at the camera, smiling with your eyes open and don't have your hair in your face!" Oh well. We'll try again another day!

Mother Child Weekend

Brinley and I had some special one on one time this weekend at a Mother Child retreat. It was sweet to have some time with just us where Brinley got to make all the decisions. 

 Girls need a lot of stuff!

We almost tipped our canoe when we lost a paddle and tried to reach for it!

There were 16 pairs of moms/grandmas/aunts and kids. We had a great weekend!

During the mom's talk on hospitality, the kids had a party and made snack mix for us.

As soon as we got in the car, she was fast asleep!
